Cottage School Circus

What a fantastic show! All the children from Kinder to Grade 6 practised their circus skills during a few Phys Ed classes. At the end of last term they performed their show for the whole school community. Bravo! Bravo!  Great job everyone – we loved it. Check out the Gallery for lots more pictures.    

Sally’s Garden progressing well

The Great Book Swap

The whole school participated in the Great Book Swap (a fundraiser for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation) on Wednesday 10th September. Students donated books for the cause and then bought a book with a gold coin donation.

Tom’s Middlies at Gymnastics

Tom’s Middlies have just finished their gymnastics unit at the PCYC in Liverpool St. They had the opportunity to use a variety of equipment including; the beam, even and uneven bars, rings, mats for rolling and tumbling and their favourites, the trampoline & climbing rope. What is a Skoog?

Jane and Amadeo brought a ‘Skoog’ into Shona’s music class last week. The Skoog was designed by some young guys in England to make music accessible to everyone. Grade 3/4 History & Science Inquiry

               Tom’s Grade 3/4 class visited the ruins of Lisdillon Saltworks for their History and Science inquiry (Historic Inventors and Innovators).  They stayed overnight in their tents on Paul’s block.  What a great example of learning outside the classroom and even the overnight rain didn’t dampen their spirits. Goodbye to our 2013 leavers

It was the last day of term on Thurs which meant it was time to say goodbye to our kids who are moving onto their new schools. Farewell, be safe and I’m sure we’ll all see each other around the Hobart village.
