Physical Education

Physical Education at the Cottage School provides children with learning opportunities through the medium of movement which contributes to their overall development by helping them to lead full, active and healthy lives.

Through a diverse range of experiences providing regular, challenging physical activity, the balanced and harmonious development and general well-being of the child is fostered.

The children experience the joy of physical exertion and the satisfaction of achievement while developing skills and positive attitudes that enhance self-esteem. Students participate in a wide variety of movement activities appropriate to their level of development of the child.

All students at the Cottage School participate in 1 ½ hrs of physical education a week taught by a specialist PE teacher. (P-2 : 2 x 45 min lessons ; Grade 3 – 6 : 1 x 1 ½ hr lesson). Daily PE is also included regularly during the week.
