Garden Market

Garden Market

Garden Market happens once a month during term from 3-3.30pm. Children, parents, grandparents and friends gather to contribute and buy a wonderful selection of fresh garden produce, flowers, preserves, plants, craft, plus healthy snacks and food.

Garden Market is coordinated by parents. Families bring along produce from their home gardens and kitchens, children bring veggies harvested from the school garden and there is often a pot of soup during the winter months. Healthy snacks are likely to include savoury muffins, popcorn, papadams, fruit bread and the ever-popular (even in winter!) yoghurt & fruit icecreams.

Children get to spend their pocket money and fill hungry stomachs, adults get to chat (and fill their hungry stomachs!) and the money raised goes towards projects around the school. In the past year we have purchased sports equipment (volley ball & basketball posts), playground equipment, tools and plants to help the school garden grow and cooking equipment for use in the Choosing Program.
