Cooked Lunch

Classes are rostered on twice a term, with children guided by our Cooked Lunch coordinator to prepare a meal for their classmates. Sushi, poke bowls, spanakopita and tacos have been firm favourites in recent years. Cooked lunch is mainly a vegetarian meal, supporting our aim to educate children about sustainability. Food allergies are catered for. For the rest of the week, children bring their own healthy lunches. The children drink water whilst at school.

For morning tea, children bring a piece of fruit or salad vegetable to share with the class.

The Cottage School is an ‘allergy aware’ school.
