Cooked lunch is provided every Monday. It is mainly a vegetarian meal, supporting our aim to educate children about sustainability. The children take turns in the purchasing and preparation of a meal shared by the whole school. Food allergies are catered for and we do not allow nuts in the school. For the rest of the week, children bring wholemeal or wholegrain sandwiches with healthy fillings. The children drink water whilst at school.
For morning tea, children bring a piece of fruit or salad vegetable to share with the class.
The Cottage School is a ‘no nuts, no eggs’ school.
